Some spring fashion inspiration to dull those icy winter blues...here's hoping for spring to come very very soon...

Some winter fashion inspiration to curb those cold, winter blues...

I am a huge fan of wide leg jeans, especially nice high-waisted ones paired with a cropped jacket.
I realize that this is not the most practical choice for 30cm of snow (especially if one is as short as me) but I say let's give Lady Winter the finger, put on those gorgeous bells and heels, hop in a cab/car and forget the soaked hem as you sip a warm cappuccino...good plan, no?

Blazers are a staple...for any season, but they are particularly practical as they usually fit under those horrible bulky winter coats.
The same goes for cape-sweaters and cable-knit turtle necks paired with skinnies...

Some may think that short skirts aren't the smartest choice for the cruel winter, but I say "phah!" Pair that short skirt with tights (sheer or otherwise) a long sweater and booties and you're laughing!

Shorts connote "summer...sunshine..the beach and warmth" I get that, but shorts with tights and a blazer or cable-knit top can also connote, "$%#@ you Winter!"
Just saying...

I am a huge fan of anything furry...hmmm that doesn't sound good, does it?
But it's true, my husband calls me Chewbacca when I wear anything resembling our beloved Star Wars warrior, but what do boys know?
That being said, fur booties, vests, coats, trim, anything fur-textured goes in the winter...I believe that this is the only positive aspect of freezing our little butts off...are you with me?

...and when in doubt, my last resort for those fashion winter blues is layering...layering...
and more layering...
Good luck this winter, and let me know what other winter fashion advice you may have hiding underneath that bulky jacket...
