Red and Blue...

I almost never do style posts, but when JACOB approached me with a collaboration I could not resist, after all I love the clothes and have been a fan for a long time now, but more importantly, now in my very prego state, I am always thrilled when I can wear something that doesn't require elastic waistbands (sigh)...that being said, I picked out this amazing dress from the JACOB website which actually fits me and is versatile enough to last me for a while even post-pregnancy...plus it's adorable (especially the exposed zipper in the back)...anyway, check out some of the glamour shots below and see for yourself...enjoy...

Itty-Bitty-Mini-Room...

I came across this adorable sneak peek from designsponge and I absolutely fell in love with it...it's from designers Sissy + Marley, in New York and it's absolutely lovely...I am not a huge fan of baby-ish nurseries, mostly because I find that kids have a hard time growing into and with them...for us we decided to stay really simple (photos to come soon-ish) and this space has been a great inspiration...I love how serene and calming it feels...enjoy...
 ...simplicity is key...
...why is it that everything little is automatically adorable...
 ...adorable details...
 ...loving the toys...
...okay, I wish my closet was this organized...

...adorable, isn't it? Yeah it is...Happy Tuesday everyone...

Postcards from...

Another stunning editorial from the peeps at shopbop...do I love everything about this? Yes, indeed I sure do ~ particularly the lighting and the atmosphere these photos create...artistic genius if you ask me...enjoy...
How is that for eye-candy? Nice eh? Well that's it from me for today-I know I have been a little lacking in the commentary section as of late, but too much to do before the arrival of the little one, so off to work I dart now...happy weekend everyone...

Divine Design...

...just because all of these are so darn lovely...
...what can I say, I love white with colourful details...I am beginning to think my style is overtly predictable...hmmm...
 ...case and point...
...love how the white shelf pops on the busy wallpaper, not to mention all the yummy vintage bowls and such...LOVE!
...adorable idea for a little girl's room...

Sorry this is so short, but I am rushing off to the library to pick up a book and then to do more editing on my ever-expanding-yet-somewhat-frustrating dissertation...hope you all have a lovely Monday...until next time...

Belly Style...

Having to listen to my constant frustrated rants about how hard it is to stay somewhat stylish and true to my style when my body is doing crazy strange things as a result of pregnancy, a really good friend of mine forwarded me Vogue's latest "One Girl 5 Days" article...let me tell you how incredibly happy this particular one made me...why, you ask? Well because for the first time ever it actually features someone who is pregnant-and visibly so! The article is on Vogue's very own Director of Special Events, Sylvana Ward Durrett who is 9 months preggers and still looks absolutely amazing! I had to share it because, to be frank, it's inspiring not only to those lugging around a belly full of baby but these looks can also be converted for virtually anyone...enjoy (I know I did!)...
PS: Thanks Vogue, I knew there was a reason why you are one of my absolute favourite magazines of all time!
...blazers are seriously a pregnant girl's best friend-I wear mine with virtually everything...
...a lovely clutch is good for pre, post, and baby time...
...I admit heels are a little tricky while pregnant mostly because your balance is a little off and your (at least my) feet do get a bit sore, so I mostly stick to flats or kitten heels but I have been known to whip out my trusty heels when an occasion calls for it...
...a great long shirt can cover any kind of 'alteration' you need to do to still fit into your favourite pants or skirts, a longer jacket can also go a long way and always looks great...
...get used to toting around larger totes because once that little screamer comes, it's all diapers and bottles and nappies and wet wipes who have to share the space with your most carried around possessions...
...details and accessories are always essential, regardless of pregnancy or not...
...a classic simple look that is great for virtually anytime and anyplace...
...pastels and neutrals ~ always a great combo...
...once again a great blazer in a funky colour when paired with a dress can complete any outfit and is great for creating length when one is wider in the front because of bebe...

...details - loving the indigo blue blazer and the stripes...
 ...a simple spring look...
...more details...

...and there you have it - aren't these fantastic? Now if you'll excuse me this little woman needs to go dig through her closet to find something equally as fabulous to wear today...
