Fa la la la la...

I love the holidays...I love decorating our house for Christmas and I LOVE absolutely LOVE the smell of the Christmas tree and all the goodies that I personally stay away from baking (don't want to burn the house down) but know others are busy baking away...so in the spirit of this yule-tide season, here are some snaps of what our place looks like right now in the midst of the holiday season...enjoy...
...this is the first year I actually decorated our banister...
...I went a little crazy, I'm not going to lie...
...I've had these little snowmen since the early 2000s...
...since I can't put any actual baked goods (don't want to burn the house down) in my vintage glass bowls, I did the next best thing and filled them with ornaments...
...I even found cupcake ornaments, how cute is that?
...red and gold seems to be the theme this year...
...the felt balls survived the trip from South Korea...
...who says you can only have one tree?
...you can find these little guys all over our house in random nooks and crannies...
...that container actually houses a few small lumps of coal!
 ...details...
...our mantle, there really is nothing better than curling up by a real fire...
 ...a yellow nutcracker...
...this is one of the first things I bought for Dublin for Christmas, a wooden Advent calendar...
 ...more details...
 ...even more details...
 ...and the tree...
...with the exception of a few of our balls, most of our decorations have a history or were gifted to us by friends and family...
...the angel is from Korea, the star from Ottawa and the little mouse was a gift from Austria when I was still a teenager...
 ..."not a mouse was stirring"...
...my favourite surviving IKEA ornament...I broke the other three...
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone, may each and every one of you have a safe and happy holiday season...
Love K
