Belly Style...

Having to listen to my constant frustrated rants about how hard it is to stay somewhat stylish and true to my style when my body is doing crazy strange things as a result of pregnancy, a really good friend of mine forwarded me Vogue's latest "One Girl 5 Days" article...let me tell you how incredibly happy this particular one made me...why, you ask? Well because for the first time ever it actually features someone who is pregnant-and visibly so! The article is on Vogue's very own Director of Special Events, Sylvana Ward Durrett who is 9 months preggers and still looks absolutely amazing! I had to share it because, to be frank, it's inspiring not only to those lugging around a belly full of baby but these looks can also be converted for virtually anyone...enjoy (I know I did!)...
PS: Thanks Vogue, I knew there was a reason why you are one of my absolute favourite magazines of all time!

 ...blazers are seriously a pregnant girl's best friend-I wear mine with virtually everything...

 ...a lovely clutch is good for pre, post, and baby time...

 ...I admit heels are a little tricky while pregnant mostly because your balance is a little off and your (at least my) feet do get a bit sore, so I mostly stick to flats or kitten heels but I have been known to whip out my trusty heels when an occasion calls for it...

 ...a great long shirt can cover any kind of 'alteration' you need to do to still fit into your favourite pants or skirts, a longer jacket can also go a long way and always looks great...

 ...get used to toting around larger totes because once that little screamer comes, it's all diapers and bottles and nappies and wet wipes who have to share the space with your most carried around possessions...

 ...details and accessories are always essential, regardless of pregnancy or not...

 ...a classic simple look that is great for virtually anytime and anyplace...

 ...pastels and neutrals ~ always a great combo...

 ...once again a great blazer in a funky colour when paired with a dress can complete any outfit and is great for creating length when one is wider in the front because of bebe...

...and there you have it - aren't these fantastic? Now if you'll excuse me this little woman needs to go dig through her closet to find something equally as fabulous to wear today...
