Little Details in an Instant...

This morning I woke up super early ~ the baby was kicking, the puppy was whining and I figured why not make good use of my time while the house is still relatively quiet (minus puppy) and take some detail shots in and around the house...and that's exactly what I did...even though a home is always a work in progress I have to say that now that the messy job of washroom renos is almost out of the way, I feel very settled and happy in our little abode, so why not share some of my favourite little details...enjoy...
...I am a sucker for making lists to keep organized, especially now that I have so many different things on the go pre-baby...my good friend Sharon gave me this lovely blue vintage notebook to keep track of all my "to dos"...
...found this adorable print at Flock, here in Ottawa, it's printed on a vintage dictionary page...
...magazines, another one of my guilty pleasures...I keep all of my recent editions and some of my old favourites displayed...
...just one of two things I managed to snag from the Jason Wu for Target collection...
...vintage glass containers used to store my jewellery...
...bathroom details...stay tuned for the big reveal coming soon...
...my peek-a-boo owl in our new bathroom...
...I like to display the make-up I use the most and keep it handy ~ I am especially fond of the vintage glass jar that was large enough to store my most-frequently-used eye shadows...it has gorgeous gold and white detailing along the sides...
...my dress bust and my treasured Alexander McQueen scarf ~ Thanks Julie
J'adore...oodles and oodles of pillows...
...and finally one of my absolute favourite little things in my house, my beautiful little puppy, Bubak...
Love K

You have some beautiful accessories and items for the home. I love the whimsical octopus print - what a great conversation-starter - and the peekaboo owl. I don't know Flock but will be sure to check it out sometime.
