After my whirlwind trip to Toronto and a week of F.A.T (which was amazing!) I am finally back home with my sleeves rolled up ready to get back to the nasty task of unpacking and the more fun task of decorating...while in Toronto, I was able to visit one of my favourite stores,Anthropologie, where I picked up an amazing book perfect for inspiring the interior-decor diva within...
...Decorate by Holly Becker (founder of Decor8) and Joanna Copestick, is a gorgeous volume full of amazing photos of homes, great ideas and suggestions from interior designers and fantastic quotes throughout...I fell in love with this book right away! So for today's post I am going to share some of those fantastic quotes along with some really amazing photos of home interiors that I managed to collect over the last few months...enjoy...

"God is in the details..."
"Set an inspiration date for yourself. Visit an art gallery.
Go window shopping. Spend an afternoon in a bookstore..."
"For me home is simply about shelter, in all manners of speaking.
It's a place of rest and refuge, a place where I can play, relax, unwind, or create-
home is the place that replenishes the soul..."
"Use your critical eye to see and use your heart to feel-
and then, trust your instincts..."
"Decorating is an extension of your personal style.
finding your decorating style depends on knowing what you love
at a gut level..."
"Allow yourself the patience to know it will all come together in time,
and enjoy the process!
Home decor is not a goal, but a continually evolving and kinetic art project..."
"When you intentionally decorate the look and feel of your space,
you become more genuinely yourself,
more at home in your skin and in your space..."
"There's a visceral connection between our surroundings and our mood,
and the amount and quality of light is the first element
that dictates those moods..."
"Be bold and paint a feature wall, table, and floor.
Don't worry-it's like a haircut,
therefore not permanent..."
"Start with thinking about how you live, then plan a layout of rooms and furniture to suit your lifestyle before you get on to the details
about what style to follow..."
Aren't these great? And I barely scratched the surface with these images and quotes...perhaps this will have to be a 2 or 3 parter...until then, have a fabulous Wednesday...
Love K

I have yet to go to Anthropologie, but from what I've been reading all over, I definitely have to make a detour there next time I'm in T.O.!
