"Fashion Show For Funds"...

...anyone in Ottawa this upcoming Sunday, I encourage you all to come out in support of "Fashion For Funds" an event organized and hosted by a student here in the city, Kate Reeves...so this seems like your standard, charity fashion event right? Wrong, because here is the kicker...Kate is only 12 YEARS OLD!!! How amazing is that, that this itty-bitty little lady, with a huge vision managed to pull together a great event for an even greater cause! All proceeds benefit the Roger's House in Ottawa (description below) and Canuck Place in British Columbia...The event will take place on Sunday at 1pm @ the Glebe Community Centre and will feature designers: Rachel Sin, Amber Watkins, Jana Hanzel, Shweta Wahi, and Rubin Kooner...so if you are in the city, please come out for an afternoon of fun and fashion all for a great cause...
I also had the pleasure of meeting Kate in person this morning while representing Rachel Sin's new line on AChannel Morning (video below)...Kate is absolutely lovely, and despite being young, she is a true inspiration...Enjoy...

Roger's House:
"Following the death of former assistant coach Roger Neilson in 2004, a legacy was created in his honour by the Ottawa Senators Foundation . This was achieved in collaboration with The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, the Ontario Ministries of Health and Children and Youth Services . The result is a free standing eight bed palliative care facility on the grounds of CHEO for children with progressive life limiting illness. The overwhelming contribution and support of the Ottawa Community made the dream of Roger's House a reality. Roger's House opened its doors to its first guest and family on May 15th 2006, within two years of the idea's conception."
