BURST...

...yesterday, it was a balmy -38 C in the city...yes that is sarcasm dripping off my frozen tongue...I am not a winter person (something that I am sure has come across once or twice on Love K)...I find in temperatures such as these, not only are my extremities frozen, but I feel like a large part of my mind remains so as well...I find it hard to concentrate on work~school of any kind...when I gear myself up to read yet another article for my impending comps, I frequently catch myself starring into space imagining as I frolic by the ocean or in some other blissfully warm climate...sigh...worst of all, however, is that in the winter it is extremely hard for me to stay inspired...
...since I get most of my own inspiration from walking around town, people watching and exploring the city, confinement does not bode too well on the ol' inspiration front...aside from that, my more superficial and narcissistic side is truly sick of sweaters, long underwear, pale skin and military-grade winter boots...common, admit it nobody looks great in sub-zero temperatures...and so I pout...whine...sulk...and wait...albeit impatiently...for winter's grip to lessen on the city and for the arrival of spring's warm and loving kiss...two more months and counting...
In the hope that this season will soon end (sorry all you snow lovers out there), I have included some spring fashion inspiration...am I an evil tease? Perhaps, and if so I apologize...but I figured it would be at least nice to imagine that we are not too far away from shedding our winter skins and replacing them with skirts, blouses, dresses and sigh...HEELS!
I would love to hear from you, my dear readers, any advice on how to stay inspired in the midst of winter's cold and icy grip...let me know and in the mean time, stay warm...
(PS: In the spirit of giving and getting winter blues advice...I must give a special shout-out to Justyna of Chichichic for helping me out with some much needed fashion inspiration yesterday...thanks J!)

i feel yer pain! I love sifting though different fashion blogs (esp. those in california or europe) and I get so excited about all these clothes and then I realize I might as well live in an igloo, because t here's no way we'll be able to wear any of it for another few months and ARGH! I want to scream! Anyway. I seem to think you look super cool in your scarf/hood thing (where-ever you got it, let me know! I want one!)

See you soon?

I think the only thing that keeps me going is that I know it'll all be over in a couple of months... unless ocean currents shift, the artic melts and we're stuck in an eternal winter in Ottawa... Welcome to my personal hell!

Kat, no need to worry you are weird because you don't like winter.

I come out every day and say: "Fuck, I did not know we landed on Mars".

The Ottawa weather is warming up! ♥ I wore a skirt yesterday and it was wonderful, albeit, I was wearing three pair of tights ;)
