Jim Fiscus Photography

This guy's work is ridiculous! I love the creative composition and the general feeling of eeriness that the photos evoke (think "From Hell" meets anything by Tim Burton). Fiscus is known for integrating conceptual photography with computer generated images, and he has done some pretty impressive ads (LEVIs, NIKE etc.) and such in the past...but these...these are Absolutely Brilliant...and so deliciously creepy! Enjoy...

Ottawa Fashion Week...


This week Ottawa was host to four fabulous days of fashion goodness in the form of the official Ottawa Fashion Week-which I was able to attend (sadly as a result of all the crazy school work I have~ Friday was the only day I could actually make it out...) Needless to say, it was amazing. Zena Fares, Rachel Sin and Ralph Leroy all put on a spectacular show...I have to brag a little here and say that I was contacted by Rachel early Friday and she asked me to wear one of her designs (to which I literally squealed like a little girl)...I ended up buying the dress...of course! Once you see something you're asked to wear, on the runway you simply cannot refuse...right? Zena Fares' collection resonated with the 80's, she had a lot of bright colours and prints-not really my style but definitely fun. Rachel Sin's collection was radiating with her signature classy dresses in both basic and bright colours-absolutely delightful! I have to say, however that Ralph Leroy put on a magnificent show-super dramatic and creative-the man knows how to capture an audience that's for sure! (...not to mention it was really fun trying to identify all the movie songs which his models walked down the catwalk to)...the designs were very reminiscent of soviet-block police and military personnel attire, which I guess I felt some affinity towards...overall a great show...All the photos below are provided courtesy of Hugh Durant of Starfish Creative Events and Inspiration and Boakview Photography (www.flickr.com/boakview)...Enjoy!

Camilla Gray Art...

I just discovered this artist, thanks to TrendLand online magazine (www.cyanatrendland.com) and I fell in love with her work right away. The artist, Camilla Gray, does mostly fashion illustrations (hence my love for her creativity :-), but she also does some creative poster art and other stuff.
