POP Life: Art in a Material World...part II

...just got back from the POP LIFE exhibit and it did not disappoint...although I was impressed with the Andy Warhol section (after all I was in the presence of something he actually created and not a mere copy of the real thing-that in itself left me in awe) I have to say that my favourite exhibit was by Takashi Murakami (http://www.takashimurakami.com/)...perhaps it stems from my time spent in Asia or my love for anything cute, but this particular installation really triggered something in me and made me happy (and isn't that what art is all about anyway?) Regardless, it is a fantastic show and I highly recommend it...Although there was no photography allowed in the actual exhibit space, I managed to take some photos in and around...the national gallery is a truly spectacular space so it was hard not to be inspired...plus I was able to be super dorky and took a picture of it...enjoy...
PS: I also included a Murakami video with Kristen Dunst that was playing...I loved it and decided to share...

Love K
